How do I get the big, rapid 'transformation' that I see in the news? Is it achievable and if so HOW?

I need to lose about 2 stone. I've started at a gym, spinning, weight/strength training. I go 3-4 times a week. I'm probably about 6 weeks in.

I track calories via MyFitnessPal. I know weight loss is about calories in versus out etc. I drink lots of water, probably too much tea/coffee but have cut out sugar. Typically eat unsweetened porridge with semi skimmed milk, salad for lunch and then dinner - nothing processed. No snacks, maybe an orange. This is a big change from sandwiches &a crisps daily, and chocolate/biscuits after dinner so I would expect to see more of a difference.

I have slightly firmer legs from all this but still jelly belly, arse, no change on scales and clothes still as tight!

Where am I going wrong? Or what more should I be doing? Is it because I'm 40 and it's just 'harder'?

I really want to change my body and sustain a healthier lifestyle but starting to lose motivation and just feeling like I should just accept I'm never going to look any different.

Anyone got any advice please?

I am on a different path to you right now looking to improve my health and day to day function.

But I've read some good advice (from "proper" doctors!) that may or may not chime here.

8 weeks is the minimum to give natural methods to show a beneficial effect.

Weight loss ( which I do need ) is better slow than fast.

Think health not looks and I'm sure the visual proof WILL occur!
