Any suggestion how to get bowels moving before (rather than during!) a run?

I normally run in the morning on an empty stomach but DH has been leaving for work too early so I'm having to run early evening. The problem is I'm not going to the toilet after lunch and then 10/15 mins in to my run, desperate to go and either have to come back or on a couple of occasions dart into a nearby field which is far from ideal ShockBlush!
I've stopped eating bread for lunch (this always bungs me up a bit anyway), no more snacking mid-afternoon and upped my water consumption but nothing seems to get my bowels moving except a bloody run Envy. Any suggestions?

Usually an espresso and a run up and down the stairs. That only works if I'm due one anyway. I occasionally use glycerine suppositories. They're probably really bad for me but I'll take that over having to poo in a ditch. For long runs I also take Imodium. Also almost certainly unhealthy but stomach hates running.

I've been running for years but had my first dicey moment just yesterday. Big gurgles, felt like my bowels were sloshing, cramp. Realised I couldn't hold whatever it was and no handy field to nip too. Was close to my finish so figured I could risk it. Turned out to be a massive fart, thank fuck.

You have my sympathy. Bananas bung me up. Coffee makes me go.
