Whats your calorie burn during a resistance session?

I'm tracking my exercise on MFP but it doesn't seem to recognize that resistance workouts burn calories. If I put in things like squats, chest press etc it doesn't give a calorie amount. I've tried using calenthetics but their moderate example seems to low and their intense example seems too high.

I don't have a sports watch to track my calories burnt during a workout so wondered if anyone else has an idea?

I'm a mid 30's woman in the over weight category. I'd hazard a guess that doing a 30 min high resistance workout without cardio burns approx 200 - 250 calories - not as much as full on circuits or cardio but certainly more than pilates as an example.

You can figure it out with calculators online if you know your weight & heart rate. (also age & biological gender, but I suspect those you do know)

Brexit I don't know what my heart rate is during the activity

Looking at I'm thinking my HR could average about 125 bpm, which means (I'm 50yo & 10 stone) I'd burn about 220 kcal per half hour. Your numbers will be higher if you are younger or higher weight or the activity is more aerobic. Does that help?

Probably more like 75-100 cals.

I burn 250 - 350 (according to my Fitbit) in a kettle bells class - the class is an hour but includes a cardio based warm up and cool down. There are some cardio exercises in too.
