Anyone doing the Manchester 10k today?

I've done it before but I'm very, very nervous. I was really slow last time. I'm in the pink wave and I genuinely fear that the roads will start to reopen as I'm running!

I'm not but I'm nearby and we are all thinking of you and excited for you. You will feel so fantastic when you've done it and the crowd support should be unreal .

I've banned my dc from coming in because last year they and dh made fun of me for running so slowly I looked as if I was walking .

I'm not a seasoned runner: only took it up in January 2016 and this will be my third 10k. I'm shit at it but I enjoy it!

How did you get on?

Knocked 9 minutes off my time from last year, and indeed 2 minutes off my last 10k.

Still amazingly slow but I did it!!!!!!!!
