Weight loss/fitness videos

Posted in Weight Loss Chat as well.

I need to lose a LOT of weight. Obviously that needs to start with eating but I would like to begin the very long process of getting fit as well, to help lose weight but more importantly to be fit enough to enjoy keeping the weight off when I do lose it.

So I need some free YouTube exercise videos to try out. It can't be anything that is too hard on the joints as an already have a dodgy ankle. And if the instructor is not too perky, that would be a bonus.

Any recommendations?

Fitness blender on YouTube is great. It's all free and there are hundreds of different videos, lots of them are great for beginners, most don't need equipment. The 30 day shred is on youtube too, a bit more challenging but you can just go at your own pace.

Try Lucy-Whyndham Read she does a lot of short workouts and many of them have two different versions of the exercises so you can just follow the easier one.

I've just started using HASfit videos on YouTube. They are from 10mins-60 mins long and you can pick what type of exercise you fancy doing. They have loads to choose from. I usually start off with a 20 mins set and then add on another if I'm still feeling energetic afterwards. They are really motivating me and I've actually kept it up for 2 weeks, which is the longest I've done as I get a bit bored if there isn't much variation.

Fitness blender, popsugar fitness or blogilates are all great in my opinion (and free!)
