Please tell me why it is good for me! I go regularly, because I can't do any impact stuff anymore, but I really hate it. I need to know what good it is doing me so I can bear that in mind. Thanks.

It torches through calories
It tones your legs
It tones your abs
Get the right instructor and you should come out feeling like you've been clubbing.

I enjoy spin fir the same reasons - it's fun if you go to the right class. It burns up all those cals and does so for longer as you are following the HIIT principles (high impact)... there is a class I go too which is like being in a club in Ibiza - addictive!

Thanks. I hate that I can't do impact stuff anymore, but am trying to love rpm and Aqua. I sweat loads but just need motivation that it is doing me good.

I'm a spin addict. Started classes about six months ago having ruined my back through marathon running and body pump. It's done wonders for my core strength (abs definition for the first time in my life, post two kids and pushing 40). The teacher/class style is crucial. I spin in a specialist indoor cycling studio, and find the classes infinitely better than any gym based classes I've done in the past. The 45/60 minute sessions go by in a flash!
