Body Pump ... a bit daunted!

I've been going to body balance classes at the gym for months now and can do a session without too much trouble (i.e. Don't break a sweat, no sore
Muscles, more a nice stretch than a challenging workout really).

I'm hoping to start toning my body more now - especially upper arms! - so have signed up to Body Pump class this Wednesday. But feeling a bit worried about it to be honest. It's just really far from my confort zone of low impact, yoga typed exercise. But yoga just isn't shifting the flab fast enough, so here I am! Smile

Can anyone offer reassurance that I'm not going to be way out of my league?! Is it manageable for someone who has a relatively low level of strength? Also I sprained my ankle a few weeks ago - it's more or less healed but still weak, if you see what I mean? Does BP involve much jumping around?

Hope someone here can offer some experience! I am really motivated to try something new but for some reason body pump just looks so advanced when I'm seeing classes through the little window at the gym!

I've been doing Bodypump on and off (mostly on, with breaks over the school hols) for a good 6 months plus now, and just starting to feel more confident about upping the weights. I've stuck with it, because I love the feeling that I'm getting stronger, more toned, and surprisingly, it seems, more flexible. (Also do ballet, and it seems to be help with that too) I wanted to make sure I had good form, and it was a good cardio workout even with lower weights.
Now I have 3.75 kg for warmup, back, chest, 5kg for squats. 2.5kg for biceps, and next to nothing for my weedy triceps (varies between 1.25 and 5kg) Still get DOMs (isn't that what you call that aching muscle thing the next day or two?) now and then. Any tips on helping with that? (Increasing protein? Warm baths? More Stretches? Paracetamol?! )
Does anyone have any tips re the deadlifts? I find those way easy. But I can't up my weight because I really struggle with the clean and press overhead thingy.
I really liked the Megan Trainor triceps track too, meglett.
Release 99 is my fav. Sometimes I look up the tracks for Bodypump '99 or whatever on YouTube and bounce about doing the hoovering at home to the tracks. Going to try out the On Demand over the summer hols, could be a good way of keeping going with it when I can't get down to the gym. Love the biceps track on 101 too.
What are your thoughts on the new release?

Interesting that new release only uses the bar for first 4 tracks and see the Arnie press is back in shoulders - used to be in it about 10 years ago but find the music in most pump releases a bit dull compared to Cascada and Pink that used to be used. Don't love pump the way I did even a year or 2 back - find it is getting boring and miss doing the plank in abs - haven't done a plank for at least a year if not more.
