Dislike exercise but have a treadmill-can you help me with a workout?

I'm 52 and a bit unfit but not that overweight. About 9' 12lbs. Trouble is I'm a bit lazy and I don't like exercise. I have a Bremshey treadmill and it has inclines. What sort of thing should I be looking at as a beginner please?

I've done 20 minutes a day before at about 3mph and I'm a) bored and b) uncomfortable so I stopped and don't know how to start again. Should I do it everyday? My knees ached as did my groin/hip.

Currently doing a lot if walking on holiday and realise I'm unfit and I want to be better about doing something when I get home.

Thanks for any help and advice.

How about doing Couch to 5K on the treadmill?

It starts you off very gently and you gradually increase your stamina until you can run for 30 minutes. Don't run on the treadmill flat, set your incline to 1 or 1.5 to mimic running outdoors. It's also better on your joints.

I'm the same age as you and did C25K on a treadmill a few years ago. It can be boring, but it's OK if you listen to music and it only takes half an hour.

I use the Zombies Run! app - post zombie-apocalypse story where you run to survive the zombie attack, and humanity is counting on you. You’ll need to race against the clock (and the zombies) to collect supplies, avoid the growing zombie horde and solve the mystery of the apocalypse.

I love zombies run! Shame it doesn't recognise my music player on my current phone Sad
