recovery from half marathon

I did a half marathon this weekend and have another race two weeks today (10k). What kind of recovery do you think I need?
I was thinking a rest day tomorrow, a gentle swim Tues, gym working arms only on weds. Gym again Thurs but again working none running muscles. Then running again 4 miles ish over the weekend days. Is that too much? I don't want to lose fitness for the 10k in two weeks.

And I will eat lots of protein this week.

i would rest 2 days, and then carry on gentle training, and make sure youre eating lots of protein

So no gentle swim Tuesday?

Don't overthink it. Gentle swim on Tuesday sounds fine.

You do need to get your running muscles going again in a few days - your plan sounds perfect.

Great. Thank you.

I ran my fastest 10k to date only two days after my first half marathon... Wouldn't necessarily recommend that, but it is good to give the legs a stretch out afterwards. Well done on your achievement!

I'm sure you won't lose fitness in 2 weeks! Good luck.
