Anyone else thinking about getting back into running soonish?

I had DC2 a month ago and want to think about running soon. I ran a half marathon a few days before i found out i was pregnant, last time I ran was around 7wks pregnant in June - gave up then as was exhausted, nauseous and pregnancy made me short of breath from v early on.

Ideally I want to build back up to 3x aweek running 5k - 10k a time. Will start walkwalking with the pram to get me started, will work up to 5k most days over the next few weeks (weather permitting).

I'm really just making a commitment to tthis - I want to lose weight and tone up but also enjoy the endorphins again. I've missed running!

Happy to talk to anyone else who wants to get back into it again!

Hi, I've started running after having my ds in November. I didn't run before so not quite the same but I'm finding it great for loosing weight/toning up.

I tried doing c25k when he was 5 weeks old but my spd flared back up so I left things alone till he was 10 weeks.

Joined a running club and now 5 weeks later I'm running 5k no probs. which isn't bad considering I couldn't run 1/2 mile.

I've only been out with pram once as it's a bugaboo bee and prob not the best. I might look at a proper jogger if I find I have time to take the little one out with me. My older dc like riding their bikes.
