Talk to me about domestic treadmills!

I am keen to buy one as I have taken up running and to be able to go 3 times per week I need to be able to do it home in the evening when kids are in bed. We bought one a few years ago but it was just awful- kept sticking and I ended up not using it. So now I want another one! Any recommendations or pitfalls for what to look for?

I got a wonderful one off eBay for £200. The lady had paid £1000 for it a year ago. It's fab Just like the ones in the gym. Maybe take a look at ebay and see what is for sale locally.

I have a cheapy V-fit which I got from Tesco for about £175. I use it 5 times a week and have had it over 2 years now. It's just started to be a little reluctant to start on occasion but has kicked in eventually. It doesn't owe me anything at that price anyway Grin

I would say watch where you put it though. I had it in the bedroom and the whole house shook Shock It's now in the garage on a concrete floor.

I love it. I've got it set up in the conservatory and so it's nice and warm and sunny get the tunes blasting. .... so easy as well. I get the little one to bed and then try to do 5k a night.

Wow. My goal is 5k 3 times a week! Well done you. Great advice. Will look at it. Conservatory feels like a great place to put it.....
