Whats your routine at the gym?

I usually exercise at home, but tomorrow me and a friend are going to the gym, i have never set foot in a gym in my life

What does everyone do there? I wont be using a treadmill as i have one at home so it would be a waste of money. No idea where to start!

I used to do a lot of classes when I first joined a gym. Then after many months I became stuck body not shifting another inch. So found an excellent coach elsewhere and started lifting weights. Now I do weights five days cardio on the other two. Have an induction and the instructors will show you how all the equipment works have fun

Lift weights. Heavy ones with the boys! Seriously it's so empowering and great for shedding body fat and looking amazing. Get a trainer to show you how and if they say "tone" or tell you to only use girly pink weights and not lift anything heavy tell them to fuck off.

That may be a little harsh, but do try weights. They're great, and they can really help running and prevent injury!

Heavy lifting! I echo every word hermione says. None of that high rep pink dumbell bollocks but compound lifts, low rep, heavy weight. Learning how to use the Olympic bar has been a complete ephiphany for me!

I weight train 4x a week and do very little cardio (only hiit training) and I've never looked better despite being ancient.
