im stomach is huge! It's the one part of my body I hate! Proportionally it bigger than the rest of me. Even at my slimmest is was big. Anyone know what the best exercise is for this area that would see quickish results?

You can't remove fat from one part of your body only, it will come off all over with diet changes. You can tone muscle though. I find Pilates good for the tum!

VixxFace · 17/02/2015 10:31

I need the answer too!

Littlepumpkinpie · 17/02/2015 22:44

Taketo is right to reduce belly fat its about diet however in some cases it can be food intolerances without doing a proper test you wont know what your digestive system and body cannot tolerate.

I understand what your saying but a couple of years ago I was at my thinnest, think size 8 which really didn't suit me but my stomach was still looked pregnant. This time around don't want to loose any weight but want a smaller stomach. Should probably get out the jillion Michael DVDs I suppose.

Did Jillian Michaels work for you before?

Littlepumpkinpie · 18/02/2015 15:38

If you look pregnant then you need to find the route cause if it. I'm no expert but I have the same intolarance test I have done and now awaiting stool test results. These I have done privately as my gp is not interested as a bloated stomach is not life threatening to warrant such tests. Cannot wait for my results to come back then together with my coach we can put a diet plan in action to kill what's causing it. You can bet your life yours is a gut issue like mine.

Jillion michaels totally changed my body shape but I was working out every day. She is the most affective for me and did reduce the tum somewhat. little yout right I need to really look into the route cause. We're your tests very expensive?

That's interesting Little I have always looked pregnant even in my skinny size 6/8 days during my late teens/early 20's. Now Im a size 14 and still look pregnant.

I have heard that the low carb plan is good for bloatiness (dont think thats a real word, but never mind), but I refuse to give up pasta and chips Grin Ive decided to just put up with it. I dont often get asked when the baby is due anymore so I can live with it a bit.

AWholeLottaNosy · 18/02/2015 16:37

I did low carb some years ago, lost 2 stone, went from 11 stone to 9 but the best thing was I lost my tummy! I'm an apple shape, skinny legs and bum, big boobs and tum to the extent that people would assume I was pregnant! It was def the carbs that did it so maybe try a low carb diet for a few months and see if that affects it, I bet it will!

Littlepumpkinpie · 18/02/2015 22:19

Blue the tests were all expensive I did more than one just for the intolerance. After this I then had to change normal everyday things eg duvet was feather I had to spend out on wool as I cannot stand synthetic duvets far too sweaty. That's just one expensive change I had to make there is many more general household items products I have eliminated not just food. I am now am changing make up and beauty products to more natural stuff. I had to go through a private GP who then ordered the stool test which was sent to a private lab for testing.
I am determined to reach my fitness and body goals without this my dream cannot be fulfilled every stone is being turned. Its hard the diet is and the training but it all worth it every last penny.

Blueskyandbirdsong · 19/02/2015 18:45

i Used to be pear shaped, now I am most definitely Apple shaped too biscuits. How low carb are we talking nosey? Would be really interesting to know what you did. Hope you find the answers Little. I suspect mine is hormonal and due to having an early menopause and what they typically call middle age spread

I cut out all bread, potatoes, rice and pasta as well as sugar, fruit and alcohol. I noticed a difference in my tummy within a week!

Littlepumpkinpie · 19/02/2015 19:33

I don't eat bread, pasta, rice, oats, sugar or alcohol. Only carb I am allowed is sweet potatoe. My stomach is not as dissented as it once was but its still there legs won't lean out any further which all points to the gut. I cannot link on here from an artical on FB but it does explain things. Blue do you take probiotics at all

bigbutsrus1 · 21/02/2015 12:26

Could it be split abdo muscles? Quite common after children or weight gain? Hard to get back, they advise not to do sit ups! See your GP and get a physio referral
