Right, I have taken on a lot of new work recently, and the only time I can get to the gym is between kids dinner and bedtimes. I need to be back to put BF baby to bed, so I have an hour, including getting there/back. I can do one longer session at the weekend, and three short sessions.

What can I do to maximise my workouts? I need toning rather than weight loss. I can't/ won't work out at home, and I don't run (crap knees).

Google hiit. There might be some classes at the gym that so. Basically you do blocks of exercise for around 30 to 50 seconds at your full level. I do 30 blocks of exercise for 40 seconds each. We have a break every 5 sets.

You could so things with weights as well as squats, planks, crunches, press ups, sitting squats, rowing, bike etc.
