So I had a pulmonary embolism last August, no major damage but I lost consciousness and damaged my lung short term from the clot. I fell pregnant shortly after that and had my second baby in May this year, now I'm running a half marathon next Sunday... having not run before... I think I'm setting myself up for a fall. :-(
I have lost 4 stone and feel amazing health wise, I've trained hard and run the distance in training already (twice), but my breathing is still an issue. I get pains if the air is very cold when I'm running, as my lungs are still recovering, and October in cornwall is going to be brisk. Most of my training the weather has been great for. Is there anything I can do if it's cold on the day? Should I breathe a certain way, or take it slower, or what? I'm so nervous of messing up. Please say positive things I run next Sunday!!!
