Been a regular at the gym for years and used to road run. Recently decided to start on the treadmill again because I'd got bored/wasn't progressing and have been running 5k in 35 mins (I'm 55)
Yesterday at work I banged my knee cap on a desk (ouch!). Went to the gym, started my run and ignored the twinge I felt. Today, weight-bearing on my knee has hurt but it isn't swollen and isn't painful or hot to touch. I can't bear the idea of not being able to exercise but obviously I don't want to make it worse. Anyone ever had this kind of thing and how did you get back into exercise safely and quickly.
