Anyone know how I can get a place at Royal Parks half marathon THIS YEAR?

I thought I had a charity place but there's been a cock up and now I don't have a place and I've done all the training So just wondering if anyone knew of any charities that might still have places or anyone who had a ballot place and couldn't use it - promise to give dosh to charity if I can just get a place.

Aaaarrgh what a palaver for you! Saw a thread on Runners world a few weeks ago with charities asking for runners - maybe try there? I have a place with Mencap but not sure if they have any left?

I have an email from 14th August with the following charities saying they were still looking for people to fill places:

Save the children
Asthma UK
Marie Curie
Stroke Association
National Autistic Society
CLIC Sargent

I clicked the Save the Children link just to see and it appeared you could still sign up for places. If you'd like me to forward you the email with all the signup links i can do if you PM me an email address.

Have just seen this post; my friend has only recently got a place through carers uk if the other links are a dead end? Hope that you are successful!

Thanks - have been trying some of the big charities this week that pootlebug suggested but will try carers uk on Monday. Think problem now is that if you are not registered you can't run even if they have places - but ever hopeful. Other possibility is someone who does have a places gets a cold or flu and is happy to let someone else run. If anyone knows anyone I would be happy to donate to a charity of their choice.
