DAGNABBIT! OF COURSE IT HAD TO RAIN ON THE WEEKEND!

I had big plans for a good, long hill walk today. The week was so beautiful and sunny and I was looking forward to this... but now it's Saturday morning and raining steadily here in the Northwest.

I think brisk hill walking, going up and down hills, is fantastic exercise. Cardio training going up, core training coming down.

I will try to find motivation to go walking, anyway...

What's your outdoor plans for the day?

Sadly I'll be stuck in a windowless room with 3 sweaty men for much of today (band rehearsal), but I'll be out most of the day tomorrow whatever the weather. Short run in the morning and then up at the allotment.

What puts you off walking in the rain? If it's wearing a hood, which I also hate, then maybe look at some running caps; that'll keep the water off your face without covering your ears.

you can still walk in the rain, maybe not hills if it's misty and dangerous, but flatter ground. it's a totally different experience, i get my waterproofs on and still go for it

just been and marshalled at parkrun, not allowed to run yet (doctors orders) but this is the perfect time to give something back

Oh, I will go regardless of the weather. I'm just really annoyed that - once again - the weather has changed for the weekend after a glorious week of sunshine.
