What kind of exercise can I do?

I really want to do some exercise but am at a loss as to what I can actually do.

I am only in my mid-40s but have arthritis in my hip which makes in painful to walk or run or do some swimming stokes.

I also have prolapsed vertebrae in my upper and lower spine. The one in the upper spine is causing shoulder and arm pain which make things like ergs and weights very difficult. It also makes swimming quite painful.

The lower back problems make cycling painful (which I used to do a lot).

There must be something out there I can do. Oh wise ones, tell me what it might be.

How about aquafit? the support of the water keeps the weight off your joints, but gives enough resistance to make it a good workout.

ooh - hadn't thought of that.

Is that like aerobics in the water? That might work (if I can locate a session). Thanks for the suggestion

Yes, there are higher and lower effort versions. My mum used to do one even when she needed crutches to get to the poolside due to her spine compressions and she could move much better in the water
