Running skirts?

I need some new bottoms for running. My current 3/4 tights aren't that comfy. I have some short tights, but they ride up and I feel very exposed in them.

I tried on a running skirt today, or actually a skort and it was really comfy. Worried I like like a bit of an oddball though.

I don't like them much I'm afraid. They can look lovely on tall slim types who would look great in the shortest of shorts, on everyone else, it looks to me like they're trying (and failing) to cover up a bum/thighs they think are too big.

I have Asics short tights that don't budge at all and actually my most comfortable 3/4 tights are from Lidl. Agree the riding up is a big problem with cycle style shorts, you need to try them on and move about in them a bit. I tend to order a selection on-line and send back the ones that don't suit.

I'm actually a fan. I've a few pairs. I wear PureSimple, I have a pair from Marika and a couple of a French brands and find them great. I use them for dance.
