That I will be the slowest runner there!
I have promised DP (who is a great runner) that I will go with him so no getting out of it now.
I haven't really ran for about 4 years, other than a couple of practice runs this week. Oh dear, what have I done?

standing I love your saying Remember - everyone is faster than those folk who stayed at home!

I'll definitely sign up for next weeks run Smile

We have people who run walk it eyestightshut so you could c25k it no probs. better to go at a comfortable pace than try to run the lot and feel defeated.

I love love love parkrun and am on the other thread too. Mine is a small parkrun around 45-60 people and I have somehow become Event Director Shock. It's a proper community and everyone is supported now matter how fast or slow old or young! Amongst our small group our youngest regular is 7, oldest 74. Fastest usually 18mins and slowest 45mins. We have many regular dogs and a pushchair a lot of weeks too and a little boy who bikes round with his dad :)

Have a great time and please don't worry about time pleeeeaaaasssseee!

Ok so I survived! Not sure of my time - will let you know once they publish results - but it was under 30 mins! It hurt though and I felt like I was going to throw up towards the end!!

Should have left longer between breakfast and the run

That is brilliant sunshine ! Under 30 mins is amazing for a first timer. I hope you are immensely proud of yourself as you should be. It was hot today as well.

What a great start to the weekend :)

Showmethesunshine · 21/06/2014 11:43

Well done! Sounds like a really good time! I did not get to go today, we went on a 40km cycle ride, so will do next weekend.

I think I will try the track Monday just to see....

eyestightshut · 21/06/2014 23:14

I ran about 95% of the way, and did it in 35 minutes - blinking knackered now!
