Both times I've done it it's been around week 6, but both times I've also started to focus on my diet a bit more around week 4-5 too, so it might be that! It's perfectly possible to do c25k and not lose an ounce if you eat back whatever you burn - it doesn't build tons of muscle so doesn't keep burning calories outside of running, iykwim.

Me too! Did W3R1 today and have definitely started to notice a change to my body - I deliberately haven't weighed myself but think I've lost weight and am definitely toning up. Am excited to see how this carries on - am very overweight and unfit so maybe that's why I can see a change fairly quickly!

I am on week two and was wondering of it would help my spongy thighs.

thanks. I am watching my diet in that I have cut out junk. I was thinking of doing the 5:2 diet at the same time. just to see if I can loose weight at a decent rate. want to loose a stone and a half, maybe two by christmas.

dotty - hi, I spotted you on the other thread as being on the same run as me. I too was very nervous about this one.

as for spongy thighs - yes would also love mine to go!

inkspell hi! How have you got on with it? I'm also cutting back on eating crap, although have just inhaled a bag of jelly tots as I'm racing between meetings (in different cities!) and haven't got time to get a proper lunch. Did eat an apple too but it wasn't enough..!

W3R2 tomorrow for me - bring it on!

Inkspellme · 19/06/2014 20:11

dotty - kind of looking forward to it in a weird kind of way! probably not so much the run as the feeling of "I did it" afterwards! going to do it at about 7 in the morning so it is cool and so it is done as I may have to go into work for half nine to cover a colleagues sick day. Let me know how you are getting on.
