Can anyone recommend stretches to ease my aches? Just started C25k...

I used to exercise a lot before non-sleeping DD arrived but have forgotten everything it seems. I finally started the couch to 5k last week, but I am very sore and stiff (inner thighs, lower outside calf, a hint of shin splints, sore knee...)

Can someone remind me what stretches and strengthening exercises I should be doing for these areas? Thank you!

If you Google 'stretches after running' there are loads of different sites, all of which give slightly different advice!

But if you think you have shin splints, I think that's a sign that you need to rest, not continue to run.

I had real issues with my shins when I was about half way through the C25K, and the exercise my osteopath gave me (because it turned out to be a muscular thing, not the dreaded shin splints), was to stand with one foot in front of the other, then turn your back food 'upside down', so that you are effectively pulling/dragging forward from your toes.

here is a picture that should help!
