Does anyone know someone who cycles with one hand, or know resources on adaptive cycling?

I can't use my left arm - the fingers don't work, my wrist is fused, and my elbow dislocates if pressure is put through it. Its also very painful.

I can, and do cycle, using a wrist brace, full arm splint, and no back brake or front gear cogs, plus a hybrid bike adjusted to let me just rest bad arm on the handlebars.

But as I cycle more, and want to go faster, this isn't ideal by any means, and I could really do with some help.

If anyone had any words of wisdom, I'd very much appreciate it

CMOT, that sounds very difficult, it's great that you've been able to find a way to cycle but I can appreciate you must feel very frustrated at being limited like that.

This may be a long shot/totally impractical or just a daft idea but what about those lying down bikes?

(hopefully someone more knowledgeable on the subject of Bikes will have some actual words of wisdom for you)

I've looked at recumbent trikes, and they are lovely but £££££ and not legal for use in non-para triathlon - and as theres so few of those that aren't elite it would be a pain. I'm also aware of how hard they are to see on the road
