I look pregnant. I know this is the most dangerous place to carry weight, so how can I help this. I have a pretty crap diet atm but I am willing to change if someone can tell me what I should be eating. And excerise, what should I be doing? If anyone could give me any tips it would be much appreciated

Hello, I'm no expert but replying as this thread looks lonely!
If you need to lose weight then any exercise which gets your heart rate up will help a little, but the most important thing will be diet. The 5/2 diet is very popular at the moment, have a look at the weight loss boards as they have a huge thread on there with loads of advice.
As for exercise, I find classes motivate me much more than going to the gym, you could have a look at what's available locally to you - body combat / body attack are both very cardio based so should burn lots of calories! Doing some strength training is also a good idea for weight loss - could you afford a personal trainer?

A mix of exercise is good- strength and cardio. Weight loss is mostly diet though. My Fitness Pal is really good for tracking calories and also for eliminating absent-minded snacking because you become more aware of everything you eat. There's no need to do anything drastic like cutting out whole food groups, you need to eat in a way that you can keep up long-term. Just eating lots more fresh fruit and veg and cutting out processed foods can help.

How much time do you have and what time of day can you exercise? I found that running works best for me. My local gym doesn't have many classes and they are all in the evening. I figured I wouldn't get fit just doing one thing a week so I took up running in the mornings. It's easy to fit around small DCs and it's cheap too.
