Right so currently I run about 3/4 times a week and I was thinking about something to add to this.

I was thinking about looking to do some form of exercise every morning before I get in the shower, something that will take 10 mins or so a day.

I have heard good things about the 30 day squat challenge so was considering having a go at this starting from Monday (as it will be the 1st July). Will this be enough or should I look to do something else too?

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. Also any feedback from people who have done the squat challenge and other exercise that works for you I would also like. Thanks

I started on squat challenge and got to day 12, joined a boot camp and did them there

On Pinterest there are loads of 30 day challenges. You could combine a few?

I tried to combine the squat challenge with running but gave up after a week as my thighs were DIEING!! And it affected my running, but apparently if you keep at it then it gets better...but literally walking up and down the stairs killed, as did sitting down on the toilet etc.

I do DVDs is shred or Davina as well as run, that's OK :)

So its not recommended to do the squat challenge if I am runner then?

Will look at Pinterest not that I really know what I am doing on there

Thanks for your replies

I'm a runner and I'm starting the squat challenge on Monday. I don't see a problem, I mainly run off road.

Core stuff would be good as balances out what you are going. And strength work. Press up challenge would be better than squat challenge. Press ups are great as fat burners and brilliant for abs/core ad well as for the upper body.

I don't think its that its not recommended it was just a killer! I did the thirty day squat challenge of a hundred squats a day for thirty days and got to day five before deciding I wanted to be able to move without wincing!

Thanks for the ideas. So maybe the press up challenge might be worth looking at instead. Will google that later when I'm back from work
