Fun Runs in Beds or Herts - any on in next few months?

DS(7) and I were due to do the Zoo Stampede at Whipsnade this weekend - 10k for me, 2k for him. It would be his first 'proper' run with number, shoe tag etc and he is very excited. However it looks like we may not be able to do it now and I would like to find an alternative that will soften the blow.

Can anyone help?

my DM was just telling me about one in Silsoe (possibly at Wrest Park), I think it's a week on Sunday or possibly the week after. There's a 5k and a 1k, I think.

Nothing was showing up on google so I made her go through the village newsletter There is a website, I've no idea why google didn't find it. Here it is. The 5k starts at 10 and the 1k at 11.

Sounds great especially as Wrest Park has a place in my heart - held a huge picnic there for our wedding instead of the more usual reception. Haven't been inside since they revamped it but have been for cake and a go in the playground :)

That wedding reception sounds fab! I love the new playground there, I've never been in the grounds but my DM has taken the DDs there.
