Running accessory to put my HTC Desire into

RedundantExpat · 31/05/2013 19:16

I need to carry my phone as it has my c25k program on it. so far I have been stuffing it into my bra but it gets kind of sweaty in there, so I want to buy an accessory to carry it in.

What is best? a running vest? a pouch to put around my arm? a money belt type of thing? I will be running in very hot weather so not convinced the pouch is going to be comfortable. Does anyone have good experience with any of these?

TIA

I've got Karrimor capris that have a rear pocket that my blackberry fits into. I don't like the arm pouch

I second Karrimor for a rear pocket big enough for a HTC. My Brooks, which were £££s, only have a tiny pocket.

Don't continue to use your bra, sweat will get inside the phone and break it! ( I know this 'cause I did it!)

Ah, I have about 5 pairs of running shorts so loth to buy more pants or shorts.

thanks Omletta, I figured it couldn't be good for it.

I use a very small camelbak as a back pack when running outdoors...I'd imagine a phone in a pocket would be annoying when running?

Either my shorts don't have any pockets or they are too small to fit my phone.

Not sure if you're in this country (the very hot weather bit may have given it away!) but Sweatshop do a stretchy armband for a fiver that you could carry it in. I bought one of the plastic-fronted velcro-fastening arm bands and while it's comfortable enough, it's a bugger to get my phone in and out of. I wish I'd spent much less money on one of these tbh

It's a bugger to get your phone in and out of quickly is what I meant!

Thanks all. Someone recommended a fanny pack. Will give it a go.
