I managed to get to the last day of level 1 last time, and was doing great but then i lapsed!

I have just restarted today, I am using the video from youtube (just search on 30 day shred level 1!) on my ipad.

I am going to post, mainly as a way to motivate myself and "report in' but any company or morale support appreciated

Just sat in kitchen now with glass of water recovering !

Well I've got a bad pain in my hip/lower back again so am calling it a day with Shred. Going to up the cycling instead I think.

Is that you Viva? Sorry to hear that, probably wise to avoid if it's playing up already.

Well I survived BMF, but I was hurting yesterday - stairs were a problem let alone various lunges, so skipped shred again. Back on it today at some point though!

Hope the pain goes quickly, Yoni.

Wem, what sort of stuff did you do at bmf?

Yes, sorry it was me.

Still got the pain, like a shooting pain every step I take which is how it started off last time. Haven't had it for over a year so I'm defineetly blaming Shred and stopping it.

Absolutely right to stop it, sounds like walking and swimming will be a lot safer for you, really hope a brief rests sorts it for you

That's scary Viva, I hope it eases quickly for you.

TheLightPassenger - a lot of the same moves as shred, just with added cardio. Lots of running to that tree and back again, and some sprint work too. Although I think it can be quite different week to week - someone mentioned tyres?! The main difference is there's someone there shouting at you, rather than Jillian who is susceptible to volume control Wink.

Oh, and the damp muddy grass underfoot/hand/bum. I came back fairly soggy and it wasn't even raining. It was good though, all outdoor and fresh air-sy. I've signed up for 6 months anyway so I'll let you know...

Hello everyone, I have managed to do it today so am checking in :) DH is away and I've had a load of cakes to make the last couple of days, but the dds were back at preschool this morning (woohoo!) so actually had some time to myself. I'm fairly impressed with myself, I started and the even just the warm up was feeling like hard work (that's not the impressive bit, stay with me...) and I very nearly stopped and thought I'd do it this evening instead (which probably wouldn't have happened), but I stuck with it and did it there and then. Small triumphs and all that :)

Heloooooo. Is anyone still doing this? Just restarted and determined to get my flabby tummy sorted! Day 2 just done and I'm aching.

Manchester Just did it today for the first time ever - the weights I used are too heavy for my shoulders (2kg) so that hurt like hell but I'll continue to use them because there's not much point lifting cotton wool buds! Wink

It went amazingly quickly and I found it quite easy which I was surprised about as I've only been to the gym twice this month.

I've just restarted the Shred. Did 20 out of 30 days at the beginning of the year, so finished level 2 (which I much prefer to level1). I use 2kg weights for most of it, but drop down to 1kg if needed.

I have been doing a fitness boot camp once a week recently, and need something in between (also something that i can vaguely do, i am the worst at boot camp by some margin). Nothing, but nothing, makes me lose weight so I am going for toning and my clothes looking and feeling better.

ScienceRocks · 07/05/2013 20:44

Just want to say that my boot camp is not the scary military one! It's an hour long in a local park, and is blimmin' hard but nobody shouts at me. Which is good, as I would probably cry if they did. As it is, I cry with frustration after every session because I am so disappointed at being the worst.

I'm having a night off. Wore Birkenstocks for a couple of miles yesterday and have shredded the soles of my feet. Jillian - I'll get you tomorrow.

Is anyone exhausted after shredding? I don't mean immediately after, I mean the next day. And the day after that. Even my eyelashes are tired, if you know what I mean.

Actually I tend to find the opposite when putting effort in to exercise. I'm buzzing with endorphins and it fuels me to eat well.

Does that make sense? When I'm actually doing something really sensible about my health I go all-in and my body craves decent food. On saying that, Tuesday we took the kids to McD's and as usual they ignored their food and my husband and I ended up hoovering it up Blush - I felt rough after my workout and actually got calf cramp during!

I think the food has a lot to do with it tbh.
