Hi, I have just signed up to this ride and wondered if anyone on this site is also doing it? There are three of us ladies in our team and we are training madly in the hopes that we won't get left behind or have to give up at the first hill!!!

We are travelling from Leicester to London by train and wondering how to get to our hotel once we get to St Pancras, any ideas? I don't really fancy cycling across the city, but i guess we may have to ....

I'm not doing it, and can't help with getting across London, but just wanted to say I did it years ago and it was fantastic! We did very little training, a few very short rides and one 20 mile, but it was great. Had to walk a few of the hills, most notably ditchling beacon, but did it in about 5.5 hours. There's a great atmosphere and riding up the seafront at the end was incredible! What start time have you got?
It is very busy and there are loads of riders, so you will find you have to stop and walk regularly thanks to bike jams, particularly if you have a later start time.

No, if I did it again I would definitely go for an earlier start time, it was really congested when we got going.

Should have said, I think our start time was 9ish.
