shoe suggestions for running on flat muddy grass/track plus bit of road

I have just started out and am currently running about 5km on the road but once a week I run a park route which involves muddy grass and a bit of rubbly track, it is all quite flat though so I wouldn't really call it a trail. I find my asics slip and slide all over the place. Does anyone have any suggestions for shoes to run in muddy parks. Probably too much info but I have long toes and narrow heels and currently wear neutral shoes. Was hoping to get some in the sales but can't face trawling the shops with two toddlers so thought I might be able to get some ideas before venturing out...TIA

Hi Jumblies, I'm an Asics runner as well and so I'd suggest sticking with that brand if you find it works for you; they do a few trail shoes that have more grip on the bottom and are Gortex lined etc so more waterproof. Try Sports Direct online maybe, or SimplyRun and Sweatshop are also good. Hope you find some!

thanks sticky, I did think of playing it safe and staying with what I know but since i've never had any other brand running shoes i'm not sure if they are best for my feet really. I got measured up for my road shoes when the guy had only been on the job for 2 days and his senior was on a lunch break! I guess they have served me well so far though I guess I just wanted a bit of reassurance before I end up owning 2 pairs of running shoes before I've even reached 10km status Shock
