Can you use an iPod nano with wristband for running?

I got a new iPod nano for Christmas, the one with intergrated Nike+. I use my old nano with an armband but I like the wristbands for the new ones and wondered if the Nike+ would still be accurate that way. Does anyone know? TIA

I basically need to know whether the Nike+ sensor will work with a wristband, or would an armband be more accurate?
