I'm breastfeeding and have taken up running, the first few times were fine but now I am getting stitches every time and sooner and sooner from the start of the run. I haven't chnaged running times, breathing or food intake, could it be due due breastfeeding and increased lactic acid in teh body?

Probably best not to bfeed and run at the same time - you migth drop the baby. [deadpan]

I haven't heard this and I would be surprised tbh. I would look at all the other causes of stitch first (kind of food before/length of time before running/breathing.) Pressing into the stitch with your hand/fingers whilst bending away from the stitch (i.e side bend stretching the area where the stitch is) can help.

Grin angrybeetel I was just popping on to say I didn't know about stitches but it must be a bit traumatic for your nipples

Sorry OP, no helpful advice
