Knee Pain/ Injury, The Shred and B/Feeding

Hi

I just started the Shred a few days ago and actually got into it.

But I've done something to my right knee, I think by picking up DS. It now hurts if I bounce around or walk down stairs. Feels like pain I used to get from running from years ago.

I've not done any exercise since Thursday and it still hurts. I suppose I shouldn't carry on with the DVD until it heals?

I'm still breast feeding at night. Do b/f hormones make you 'soft' (ie make your muscles and ligaments more prone to injuries?)

Any ideas how to help it heal?

Where's the pain? Inside the knee or on the side?

I wouldn't do anything until it's better. And I would also make sure that you're shoes are properly supportive.

Rest, ice, elevation I think is the usual response to these kinds of injury.

Thanks for the reply Neolara. Will dig out an ice pack.

The pain is at the top of the knee cap, on the outside.

Didn't think about shoes. Maybe some new trainers are in order.
