Couch to 5k, do I need to start at the very beginning?

I've been reading over some of the threads on here and also the Couch to 5k website. I already do a bit of running, currently about once a week (but more when the clocks go forward), sometimes in a local park, sometimes just on the paths.
My question is, looking at the first couple of weeks it seems less than I can currently do, so is it possible to start in the middle of the programme and work up?
Thanks

Yes definitely. I did it all the way through a couple of years ago, then when I got up to 10K I got pg and gave up running for a year. When I went back to it I started a few weeks in.

Thanks, it sounds good, I think I need a bit of direction at the moment. I'm just randomly running as far as I can (or can be bothered!) but I'm not ready yet to join a running club!
