Where can I get a reasonably priced children's wetsuit

My daughter has swimming lessons at the local open air pool. It is now October and all the other kids have wetsuits. I think I need to get her one. I have been told she will need a 5mm Shorty. The pool sells them, but they are rather expensive. Can anyone advise.

There are websites that sell them - we've found the TWF ones ideal for Ds. However, when we came to get him one last year (when he was 4.4) we went to a shop where we were holidaying (south coast) rather than website which would have been a slightly lower price. we were very glad we did that as the size we whould have bought him (one up from the previous year) was VERY tight - and the next size up (normally 7 - 8 ish) was the one to go for and has also (just) done this year. This is because he's quite broad (ie his chest is wide - you really can see ribs, its not fat, honest Grin) so the length that makes the wetsuit normally suitable for 7 - 8 partly got taken up by breadth instead. Next year (age 6) we'll no doubt be going for the one normally recommended for age 9 - 10. A relatively snug fit is good though - as it helps to trap the water between the skin and the suit.

5 mm? Are they mad, or adding icecubes? 5 mm is really thick and rather difficult to move in; 3 mm is much more flexible.

I've used these guys before, and they do answer the phone when you can't decide which size to buy, which is useful. Kids' wetsuits on sale from £16.

Yep, Ebay, especially at this time of year. We have a range of kids wetsuits aged 2 upwards, all about 99p each. Pick a good make and check the sizing in cm rather than S, M, L (can be v misleading).
