I have just started volunteering with an international maternal and child health care charity called MCAI ? their office is just on Derby Road in Nottingham.
The charity is looking for Nottingham mums to support their lifesaving work by taking part in the Robin Hood Marathon on 13th September 2010.
The marathon consists of four races?so you don?t have to be able to run a full marathon to take part!:
? Full marathon
? Half marathon
? Marathon relay ? 5 people run just over 5 miles each
? Mini marathon ? 2.6 miles
Did you know that the risk of maternal death in sub-Saharan Africa is 1 in 22? It?s an alarming situation which MCAI is trying to help by improving health care.
