Brexit Arms: Election Night Lock-In

Welcome to the Brexit Arms - it's going to be a stormy old night! We're about to be buffeted from right to left and back again with no real idea what the landscape will finally look like in the morning. All are welcome to weather the storm in the warmth and safety of the Arms - but please remember this a hospitable establishment so let's try and keep it that way.

We're kicking off the evening with our Back to the 70's theme night while we wait for the big main event to unfold. The juke box is loaded with all your 70's favourites. Feel free to dance round your handbags but please, no dancing on the tables…. this could be seen as having too much fun.

As always, we've got a nice big pot of PG Tips on the brew and Camp coffee by the mugfuls in addition to our usual alcoholic beverages.

On a serious note, we know that tonight's events are going to cause some upsets. With this in mind, the mint imperial bowls on the bar have been filled with Diocalms and we urge all our customers to make use of these. There should be enough to go round as long as nobody starts trying to stockpile. We simply cannot risk the need for plumbers to unblock our loos on Friday morning, as they could have been called out on strike by then.

Landladies on duty tonight will be:

20:00-22:00 Greenish (with Babychams, Cherry B's and vol au vents)
2200-midnight Twattage (with Classic Dmitris and cheeseboard)
Midnight-0200 Singing (with stiff brandies to calm the nerves, plus a selection of fresh nuts)
0200-0400 Hate (possibly with Albanian delicacies and a hangover cure)

We'd like to get the glitter ball turning with this absolute classic:

….fingers crossed similar scenes will abound in the Arms by the end of tonight. Enjoy!

P.s. When ordering drinks between 8pm and 10pm please supply your own drinks emojis. Thankyou!

I will drive about tomorrow, and will laugh with satisfaction every time I see a defaced/vandalised Tory placard.

Did the angry left really think bullying was the way to win?

GreenishMe · 12/12/2019 22:27

If this exit poll turns out to be true, Labour have reaped what they've sown. They betrayed their own Leave voters...what did they expect would happen?

Poll predicting Don Valley will go blue. If so, I am sorry about Caroline Flint. She is a decent MP.

That will be a shame

She's been brilliant over the last year
I'd have liked to have seen her as leader

DustyDiamond · 12/12/2019 22:29

Wouldn't it add a very brexit as we know it twist if Boris had a huge majority but lost his Uxbridge seat

😱😱😱

RaiseaGlasstoFreedom · 12/12/2019 22:29

Can't believe Johnny rotten.

I was told a long time ago, the extreme left and extreme right meet in the middle... It shows how extreme the left actually have become that they are eliciting this reaction.

Dear whoever thank you to the sensible British public, they prayed for Sally.... 🙏🙏🙏🙏

DustyDiamond · 12/12/2019 22:30

Did the angry left really think bullying was the way to win?

They never learn...

Coppersulphate · 12/12/2019 22:30

The people have rejected Militant Tendency (Momentum) again
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃

ajandjjmum · 12/12/2019 22:30

Phew - so relieved. Gin

DustyDiamond · 12/12/2019 22:31

Sally is dancing a tentative jig 💃🏻

DustyDiamond · 12/12/2019 22:31

Lol

Andrew Marr looks pissy 😂😂

"The Red Wall has fallen"

RaiseaGlasstoFreedom · 12/12/2019 22:32

What did they expect?

They expected their ignorant, mail reading knuckle followers would submit themselves to be re educated... Of course!!

Walkingdeadfangirl · 12/12/2019 22:32

Wouldn't it add a very brexit as we know it twist if Boris had a huge majority but lost his Uxbridge seat

a)Just give him a seat in the Lords
b)Then parachute him into a very safe constituency immediately.

Easy workaround.

BoswellSolver · 12/12/2019 22:32

Just on the other thread reading about how much of a cunt I am etc.

As usual, we will bear the nastiness and just carry on with our plans 🤣

SingingLily · 12/12/2019 22:32

Did the angry left really think bullying was the way to win?

They'll be sore losers. The police will have to muster again against the inevitable disturbances. Just what they need after London Bridge.

But if you think they'd be sore losers, just remember this...

They'd have been even sorer winners.

The UK can breathe out and start planning a future now.

spadeo · 12/12/2019 22:33

Maybe hiding in a fridge wasn't such a bad idea now 😅

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 12/12/2019 22:34

Anyone else waiting on Broxtowe result?

Do we have an ETA on Anna Soubry bum squeak?

RaiseaGlasstoFreedom · 12/12/2019 22:34

Andrew marr just said

A freshly invigorated nicola sturgeon....

Can she be more than freshly invigorated than she already is... Grin I can't imagine 😂

Coppersulphate · 12/12/2019 22:35

I have no sympathy for any of the other lot. They are all calling us bastards and cunts

SingingLily · 12/12/2019 22:35

The BBC must be so-o-o disappointed in us 😔😂

SingingLily · 12/12/2019 22:36

Broxtowe around 2am, Epic.

I'm looking forward to seeing her face.

bellinisurge · 12/12/2019 22:36

Reported some of the nasty shit on other threads.

AutumnRose1 · 12/12/2019 22:36

RaiseaGlasstoFreedom · 12/12/2019 22:36

Walking, would that spare his blushes 😂😂

It would be an apt twist...

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 12/12/2019 22:40

“Reported some of the nasty shit on other threads.”
