We are the laughing stock. He can’t get no deal through. No one will agree to an election. Isn't it time for Bozo to on his sword?

Cameron is a girlie swot and Corbyn a big girl's blouse.

Do we see a theme emerging here regarding someone's masculinity complex?

Mummyoflittledragon · 06/09/2019 18:16

Indeed. It reminds me of Horrid Henry: Silly nappy baby!

OP posts:
BlackeyedGruesome · 06/09/2019 18:49

A definite theme..

Lex234 · 06/09/2019 18:55

I get -probably irrationally- infuriated when female synonyms are used as insults.

I'm really sorry but Boris and his merry men come across as utter bellends.

muddledmidget · 06/09/2019 18:59

I don't think it's irrational to dislike our prime minister using female synonyms as insults. It shows disrespect for half the population, and adds nothing to his argument. If that's the best debating tactic that Eton can provide, I fear for its future

lickthewrapper · 06/09/2019 19:04

Can someone please explain what exactly a "girly swot" refers to? I'm not up to speed with a lot of the English slang. Smile

Mummyoflittledragon · 06/09/2019 19:08

Muddled Grin

Unfortunately these little boys and any nanny’s little soldiers don’t have to be bright, just from wealthy parentage.

From the look of it Cameron was a lot better at learning his letters at school than Bozo or the vomit inducing prig JRM.

The former is the eldest of 4 and I do wonder if he’s the prototype that went wrong, both overindulged and ignored.

bellinisurge · 06/09/2019 19:09

A swot is someone who studies very hard to the detriment of all else.
If you are a stupid git, girly is a term of abuse saying that you are feminine. Like that's a bad thing.

Mummyoflittledragon · 06/09/2019 19:11

@lickthewrapper
A swat is someone, who works hard normally at school usually indicating they suck up to the teacher. Calling a male person female / girly etc is a misogynistic attempt to weaken and feminise them.

OP posts:
NoBaggyPants · 06/09/2019 19:12

From my point of view, girly swot is a compliment, an intelligent woman.

From Boris' point of view, a swot is someone he'd bully at school, and adding girly to any term infers weakness.

newtlover · 06/09/2019 19:12

a swot is a pupil who is over keen on their school work, in the eyes of fellow pupils
'girly' because in the minds of little boys, being interested in school is a bad thing, and therefore feminine

Fucket · 06/09/2019 19:12

I think Boris is going to fall on his sword to force Corbyn to try and form a working government, knowing that is highly unlikely to succeed, no one will be able to agree anything, leaving the only option then being a general election.

He’s mad as a box of frogs but I think that’s the course he’s heading on. Either that or he’s going to find himself a nice ditch somewhere.

Meanwhile the EU might not agree an extension as they are probably as pissed off as the rest of us as to what is exactly happening, and cut their losses and force a no deal on us anyway.

lonelyplanetmum · 06/09/2019 19:14

So girly swot denigrates hard work and women.

Interestingly. the most common comment about the prime minister's mayoral office is that others did the work. So hard work is something to be avoided and derided.

Mummyoflittledragon · 06/09/2019 19:16

Fucket
If he falls on it too late that won’t work though and we will have to have a caretaker leader I imagine.

OP posts:
bellinisurge · 06/09/2019 19:17

As a big girl's blouse girly swot myself, I'd take that as a compliment . It means I'm not a dough arsed indolent knob who can't keep his dick in his trousers and turns out to be shit at the thing he dreamed about doing all his life.

Mummyoflittledragon · 06/09/2019 19:24

😂😂 @bellinisurge now that must suck!

OP posts:
cherin · 06/09/2019 19:32

@bellinisurge please!!!! I exploded in an uncontrollable laugh in th middle of the tube station reading it!!
I’ve been called a boffin before (they didn’t mean it as compliment), is a swot worse than a boffin??

MockersthefeMANist · 06/09/2019 19:32

...Someone who studies hard.

Like Jo who got a First when BJ and Rachel only got 2:1's

Fucket · 06/09/2019 19:33

You might be right Mummyoflittledragon but he’s obviously thought he was clever enough to get what he wanted. But he’s said he’d rather die than ask for an extension, what else is he going to do. He will be even more of a laughing stock if he has to go begging for an extension. He’s completely fucked up his family, and his party he’s a loose canon.

MockersthefeMANist · 06/09/2019 19:35

Big soft girly is what Dennis the Menace would call Walter, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Jacob Rees-Mogg.

Mummyoflittledragon · 06/09/2019 19:43

Yes he will be. Also a loathing-stock, which has fallen out of usage. But I think it’s clear.

@cherin
That person was also jealous. As are people calling the other swats. A boffin is someone with highly specialised knowledge. I don’t consider that derogatory.

OP posts:
chomalungma · 06/09/2019 20:44

I hope that someone asks him out his language (again) in PMQs...

merrymouse · 07/09/2019 08:53

It means I'm not a dough arsed indolent knob who can't keep his dick in his trousers and turns out to be shit at the thing he dreamed about doing all his life.

Exactly.

Parliament could do with a few more ‘girly swots’ - women who take their responsibilities seriously and do their homework.

Songsofexperience · 07/09/2019 08:57

Yes, this hard right take over is all about fearful weak little men who want to prove to themselves they're big...
Seriously though I've always though this goes hand in hand with anti feminist reactionary values. Turning back the clock in all respects.
The brincels.

The80sweregreat · 07/09/2019 09:04

There was a women on sky news ( not sure who she was though) talking about Boris ( she had written a book about him too). She wasn't very complimentary!
The language he uses is a throw back to the 1970s. None of it is good.
