Good job government and businesses haven't wasted huge amounts of money on this.

We know what happens when economic or natural disasters, or conflict, affect a nation’s economy. All forms of Brexit have been shown to have a detrimental effect. Not one is predicted to be beneficial.

{Maybe, but what forces UK to accept the offer? Remember T May saying that no deal is better than a bad deal. EU can't prevent the UK leaving without a deal.}

I presume you are being particularly obtuse for a reason.
Failing to understand the situation does not actually change it, like dementia, the 'reality' of life is perceived differently by those with it and those around them.
Your assertion that money is the main motivator for the EU is incorrect, it is a social contract between the member states as well as financial.
To think that the UK on it's own without very significant ties to either the EU, USA, Russia or China is totally delusional. The UK is a small island (with a bit on the Island of Ireland), and does not have the resources to be a significant player without teaming up with a 'superpower'.

And Gibraltar, and a scattering of tiny rocks around the world.

She would never have said that if no deal was off the table.

Wouldn’t she? She also said that she was not prepared to accept an extension beyond 30th June.

Theresa May says whatever she thinks is the most helpful to her at that point in time, with no value to be attached to her word whatsoever.

Mrs May's approach to Brexit is likely to destroy the UK permanently. Her continual abuse of power, failure to reach consensus, failure even to understand that the UK can't 'go it alone' in the globalised marketplace while simultaneously alienating the UK from many other countries which the UK will depend on in future.

Who says Brexit planning is to be stopped - not TM!
