I'm playing Brexit chicken by ordering from the UK

I've ordered from Snag Tights because one of my friends swears by them and I have the sort of apple-shaped tummy that makes regular tights roll down at the waist. I'm in Ireland, they are in the UK. Will they make it here before Friday? I don't know. If they don't, will the UK still be part of the EU on Friday? I don't know.

Nip+Fab are having a half-price sale. Should I risk it? Probably. I live on the edge. Fearless.

I’m in Ireland too. I’ve worried about this a lot, what with my online shopping habit.

Although maybe it will be a chance to explore new shopping avenues. I couldn’t get shipping from the uk version of shoe site recently so I went to the French site... et voila! No problem.

The only thing is I paid a Euro price and the sterling price converted is usually cheaper

dh will be returning from the EU about 20 minutes after we may leave. It's could be fascinating. I gave him an extra kiss just in case.

Yeah, good idea! cos if he can establish residency then I've got my ticket out of here I'll miss him in the mean time, but needs must.

D'you know what MayFayner, I was just saying to my DH the other day that a lot of online sites are giving parity in prices between Stirling and Euros, or even a lower Euro price than a Stirling price. For instance Mango (which is a Spanish company). It seems that non-UK companies are pricing to allow for a substantial fall in Stirling in the near future. Obviously UK companies are hedging their bets the other way so Euro prices are often still much, much higher than Stirling (I'm looking at you Monsoon).

I have to say that I have never received such snappy delivery of stuff I ordered from the UK (to Sweden) as I have in the last 2 months. I think a lot of online retailers know that their EU business is down the drain in the event of no deal

I got caught out with the original March date. I bought something on Amazon but paid in sterling as it's usually better. It was faulty so they refunded me. Unfortunately, it was just after sterling did a dramatic dip on foot of some brexit related announcement/event/thingy, so I didn't get back as much as I paid🙁

My daily contact lenses are made in Ireland. I've got about a month's supply left. Should I be ordering more? I had meant to do so before today - if it's No Deal, I might be stuffed!

Mine are too Prettybird. I ordered extra a little while a go. I'd hold your nerve at this point until we know about tonight, unless by ordering today it would arrive on Friday.

We only need to be able to see until dh can send a boat for us all.

We got caught out by the original referendum. We had sold a flat, one of those accidental landlord situations. It was about 4 weeks before the referendum and we decided to wait to move the money as Sterling would strengthen once the UK had voted to remain. That was an expensive decision.
