I am sick of being told that everyone who voted leave is an ignorant racist but find it hard to verbalise why remaining troubles me.A friend shared this

and although it is a long talk, it kind of sums up my anxieties about a non democratic , non transparent European parliament, with numerous dodgy deals going on and the seat of power becoming more and more Germany centric. Does that not worry people more than having to get a visa to visit Europe etc. I think we risk a lot more by remaining, even if it is uncomfortable initially.

The Greek people and government borrowed more than they could repay.

Austerity is not really a wonderful policy. The Uk is playing the austerity card the hardest.

Steve Bannon is a fascist.

Varoufakis is an academic and was really bad at helping to sort out Greece's issues.

Some good points, but a lot of bias.

Twig.....I do not think anyone completely understood the consequences as it was

Well, I kind of think many people did understand the consequences and that's why they voted to remain...

But none of those things that you’ve mentioned are going to affect the economy as much as leaving the 2nd largest trading block in the world. Especially if we’re stupid enough to crash out without a deal.

People last minute panic buying in March will e,pty the shelves. But it’ll be no deal brexit that means they can’t easily be replenished. If it comes to it those people with a month’s worth of food will be helping the issue rather than creating it.

Not really sure where to start with the argument that EU citizens who’ve been made to feel unwelcome because of and after the referendum should stay for the good of the country. And I’m not sure assurances they can stay if they want by this government count for anything.
