What if Corbyn wins the GE?😳

Just that. No column inches have been dedicated to considering this possibility (yes, I do know why) but just...what if?

Nothing Carney could say the next morning would be remotely helpful.

UKs and in particular, Londons, overcrowding problems would be solved in days as millions legged it. Horrifying.

It is not going to happen. If it did he would be awful. Probably three times better than May who is going to have a tough time over the EU and dealing with poor quality ministers.

"millions would flee the country". No, they wouldn't.

But if Katie Hopkins and Nigel Farage would put their money where their mouths are, and go to that haven of democracy, Trump's America, it would be a welcome start. But they won't. I suspect that they realised that the US has enough gobshites of its own, without needing to import any with 'cute' accents.

Unlike under May, where thousands are likely to be driven out - researchers in science and medicine for a start.

Cuts to the army, cuts to police, cuts to firemen, cuts to the NHS, cuts to the disabled and food banks rising to record levels. Oh and Trident running on XP, same as the NHS which just got hacked. But Labour are the ones to be worried about!

Forgot to add cuts to teachers, homelessness rising to record levels, TM threatening hard brexit or no deal at all and going into negotiations with threats not diplomacy. But JC is 'unelectable' Hmm

Yes, silkybear. Why? It defies credulity.

People are already leaving London.

The reason London's population has increased in the past is from inward migration, both from inside the UK and from outside. Whereas, behind this, there has always been a migration out of London, with people leaving to live where property is cheaper.

Currently, inward migration has hugely decreased because of Brexit,, but property prices have not fallen back sufficiently to attract people to stay.

Businesses are also on their way out. London will lose £83,000 jobs due to the loss of Euro clearing in the next couple of years, for example. This does not include the people who work in the sandwich shops, or cleaning agencies, etc, who provide services to the people who work in these jobs.

If you are worried about people leaving London, I would suggest that voting Tory has been catastrophic, and there's no reason to believe that anything will become less chaotic if they continue to be in government.

Peregrina, did we kill the thread? Smile Have you noticed how everyone is so quick to slag off Corbyn but when you actually try and discuss policy everyone runs away? I mean what are the tories policies exactly? So far all I have heard is -new debate on foxhunting -further cuts to disability welfare -a year off unpaid to care for a relative (so we don't have to) - hard brexit/coming out of the single market/no deal at all/not sure yet. Seriously would love to know what they are actually standing for and why so many support them before they have even proposed a clear strategy or manifesto.

Seems like we did kill the thread. The Labour party policies seem sensible to me. My only worry is that it's too little too late, with the cult of Theresa May going on at present.

I was really pleased to see that someone had finally mentioned equality of opportunity to get abortions in the United Kingdom. The current situation is disgraceful and makes me want to vote for him purely on this issue.
