I think it would be fine if Corbyn got it, things would change and be different but the world wouldn't end. I say this as more of conservative leaning person too.

Ted Health wasn't the PM for the whole of the 1970s during the 3 day week era of which you're talking about. He wasn't a particularly effective leader but neither were Wilson or Callaghan!

I was around during the Seventies, and did vote then. Heath was PM between 1970 and 1974 which encompassed the three day week, which was predominantly January & February of 1974. He then called an election with the slogan 'Who governs Britain?' With the answer, 'We are not sure, but not you, mate'. Wilson then formed a minority government and called off the 3 day week.

Not really no. The PMs of the 70s were a tragedy in themselves - no strong, clear leaderships, bowing down to the Unions etc. Glad MT had the balls none of them had!

It's not so much JC as PM that worries me, but having Angela Rayner as Education Secretary, Diane Abbot as Home Secretary, and Rebecca Long-Bailey as Business Secretary that worry me. Thank goodness it'll never happen.

I used to have some regard for Justine Greening, but she's been lumbered with Education, to promote policies that she has no reason to support, having done well out of a Comprehensive system herself.

If it's a choice between JC or TM - I think TM has more of a backbone. You may as well put Homer Simpson in charge of the country if people put JC in power.

Taxes will not be increased to 90%, No-one is going to start inspecting your hands for callouses, Lenin will not be put on the new banknotes and the sky will not fall in.

Exactly Mistigri. I'm no Corbynista, but his faults are massively overstated, whilst May's are massively understated. If she is so competent, then why on earth are her campaign managers going to every length possible to hide her away from the general public? She wont even consent to an interview where she might get asked a tricky question, let alone a TV debate, or an interaction with members of the public who aren't carefully selected supporters.

We don't even know what her policies are yet - beyond fox hunting and grammar schools . Yet we are supposed to assume that they are better than Labour's because she is so trustworthy?
There is nothing about her past record that makes me trust her.
