Well here we are, almost 9 months on from the referendum & A50 is finally set to be triggered this month.
We've had petitions, marches, tantrums & tears, from the hardcore remainers desperately trying to stop the will of the people, but they can't.

So let's get the champagne out of the cellar ready & waiting - this is the last Brexit Arms thread so let's celebrate!

Oh I do Ghost.
But you will be coming along for the ride.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 18/03/2017 22:01

Nope, I'll be fighting against it all the way and holding those politicians who caused this mess accountable in the same way Iraq still haunts Blair.

boredofbrexit · 18/03/2017 22:02

Fair enough.

SemiPermanent · 18/03/2017 22:05

And, sadly, once again, it's a bunch of engaged, questioning Remainers left with the MN Farage of Brexit, arguing a corner, all alone.

And, sadly, once again, it's a bunch of repetitively questioning Remainers left with the MN Brexiters yawning, whilst they argue in a corner, all alone.

boredofbrexit · 18/03/2017 22:09

Hey why waste a good yawn? Have a Wine

GhostofFrankGrimes · 18/03/2017 22:09

In politics questions tend to get asked. I'm sorry some people cannot grasp this.

boredofbrexit · 18/03/2017 22:12

Hey Ghost, we are voters, not politicians. See how you get on with writing to your MP.

SemiPermanent · 18/03/2017 22:14

I fear for how our xenophobia has unleashed the hounds of wider western European xenophobia.
I fear for the way our knee-jerk has emboldened the have-nots of the USA to vote in their greatest clown, yet.

Well!
It's finally happened- that's me convinced!
My mind has been changed!!

You are right Draylon!
Britain was a utopia pre June 2015.
No racism.
No sexism.
No xenophobia.
No disenfranchised masses.

Europe too.
Oh, poor, sweet, Europe - how we have ruined you Sad
Before Brexit there was no problems in Europe.
No racism.
No anti-Muslim sentiment.

Damn you Britain for ruining the perfect, idyllic Europe that existed until we put pencil crosses on pieces of paper.

And the USA
How could we have been so cruel?!
Yes! Twas all the fault of Brexit that you voted for that wig-wearing clown.

WON'T SOMEBODY THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!!!!!

Nor am i but i like to think there is some logic and reason to my decision making.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 18/03/2017 22:19

Race hate crimes increased dramatically post referendum. This has been pointed out on MN many times.

It's the same phenomenon. You can't have missed Trump calling himself Mr Brexit.

Your doing the same thing Trump does, just repeating news. What does that have to do with Brexit actually causing Trump to be elected other than in your head. I doubt very much that most Americans even knew what Brexit was when they voted.

That is is why your unsubstantiated statements can be dismissed so easily.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 18/03/2017 22:23

Trump and Brexit are part of the same isolationist, nationalist and protectionist wave of populism. Of course Americans knew what Brexit was it was world news.

" What does that have to do with Brexit actually causing Trump to be elected other than in your head. "

Did I say Brexit caused Trump to be elected?

Kaija · 18/03/2017 22:28

But the two are undoubtedly linked - not least via Cambridge Analytica.

SemiPermanent · 18/03/2017 22:30

Those 'masses' are where they are due to UK governmental policy, nothing to do with the EU who have been paying subsudies to Europe's impoverished regions for years (ask Cornwall who's going to pay their £60m p.a. from here on it. Ooops! That came as a shock, didn't it?)

Confused I didn't say they were anything to do with the EU. You did. Then you proceeded to argue with yourself.

#confused

boredofbrexit · 18/03/2017 22:31

Love it semi...was that from the 1970's?😂
Ghost There was a reported increase in recording hate crimes I think.

Draylon, I am not bothered if you are animal or mineral but if it pleases you I could try that that pc thing of writing alternate gender appropriate sentences or if you like I could even try that 'they' salutation, but it wouldn't affect my evaluation of you as a person.

SemiPermanent · 18/03/2017 22:32

Genuine 70s pish Bored.

scottishdiem · 18/03/2017 22:32

I have a new job in Dublin. The firm left the UK as it has EU operations and needs to be part of EU oversight legislation. I am taking the job of someone who couldnt make the move to Dublin.

So thanks Leavers for costing that person a job and making it available for me.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 18/03/2017 22:34

Will brexiters ever acknowledge anything?

SemiPermanent · 18/03/2017 22:36

I can only speak for myself obvs.
I am more than happy to engage in a reasonable manner when I am treated with the same courtesy.
