I hate to break this to him, but the EU have already made it very clear that they will not agree to this.

There's no access to the single market without free movement of people.

Norway also have to pay into the EU, abide by most of it's laws but don't get a say in what those laws are. Which would leave us significantly worse off than we were before.

I would be very happy to be positive if anyone could show me how this will work. But no one has set out a coherent plan of how this could possibly work - how we can get all we want from the EU and not have any of the bits we don't want.

Your post OP is just rhetoric. What you think is available to us is simply not available to us so this is all just wishful thinking. Although if you have a plan whereby we become Norway without the free movement bit and the EU nods it through then do share it.

backingvocals if you listen to this programme, a lawyer states how if we ended up with the Norway model we would have the power to say no to any trade laws the EU wanted to impose, which we can't at the moment. We would also be exempt from fisheries and agriculture. I've posted this on several threads, so sorry if you've seen it before. Searching for any chinks of light I can find I'm afraid.

The way I see it I am not looking at a short term recovery - if it takes 3 months, 3 years, 30 years or 300 years I believe this was a principle to stand up for. Self Governance. Especially as we were conned into the EU via the Common Market.

We should have been asked before Maastricht was signed in 1992. We were not asked because it would have been a resounding NO imo.
