I am absolutely devastated about the vote and am so worried for my children's future in the UK being separate from Europe. I am worried for the following reasons:

The UK will be no more
House prices dropping
Unemployment rising
Less opportunity for movement within Europe, particularly for my children
How we will be viewed by the rest of the world
Rise of extreme right wing
Boris Johnson becoming PM and forming close bonds with Trump if he is voted in

We are thinking of moving overseas - we have the opportunity to do this available now.

Would you if you make the move in light of the result if you were me, or someone please tell me everything is going to be ok.

Yes, I would in a heartbeat, but I own a business here. (Although that may not be a problem longer term).

I voted remain. I don't think anyone can possibly know what is going to happen now but my feeling is that we're screwed. All of us - and that's the ironic thing about people who voted leave.

Quite possibly, yes. We may have to though, as DH's job is with a US company who invested in the UK for access to Europe. He manages a team of people in the US, and if the company decides to pull out of the U.K. (Which is very possible) he may be obligated to move to the US to retain the job that he has put so many long hours into.

I'm seriously considering it, I have the possibility to move for work to Seoul, Korea. I never would have considered it before but I'm honestly so ashamed & things are only going to get worse, might as well jump ship before we well & truly start drowning

Yes, we're looking. But it's probably an unrealistic daydream - our skills and careers are quite specialised. The competition will be insane and get worse over time.

Having said that, if I were you looking at making a decision right this second in time, I'd say only leave if it would have been the right decision anyway and if that place is the right one to move to for you and your family.

A severe economic crash will have repercussions everywhere, although it'll be worse here. Locals abroad won't necessarily welcome newcomers with open arms. And the extreme right seems to be rising everywhere, it's just terrifying.

I voted remain. I won't and wouldn't be emigrating. Not happy with the result, but to be honest I think there's problems where ever you ok. No country is perfect. I think there may be a recession, but there's a risk of a recession in any country. Ultimately, we live in a democracy, a safe country (low gun crime etc), we still have free healthcare (unlike Ireland or USA) - it could be a lot worse. I'll stick with the UK.

I'm actively looking into it. I could easily transfer to the Netherlands. DH's job is uncertain in the light of Brexit - if he can find something suitable we'll be off.

No I wouldnt. I work in France a lot and things have been bad there for some time. I don't speak any other European languages either so my options would be limited.
I think house prices dropping isn't a bad thing as the market has been overheated for some time.
In the end I don't see there being any dramatic changes. The EU has a lot of problems. It isn't good that we have voted out but it isn't cataclysmic.

If I had the money I'd of jumped off this ship yesterday. Sadly I don't so looks like I'll be drowning with the rest of us who can't afford it

Yes we are planning to move

We're contemplating it. My dh is French as we're both dismayed by the vote. We may up sticks and go to France. I also have many European friends who feel unwanted and are planning to go home. We are mostly high rate taxpayers who are net contributors so exactly the kind of people who the UK need to retain but the whole thing has left a sour taste in our mouths.

Yes we are planning to move too. It's going to be painful. But I think I don't see my business plan succeeding in UK anymore. Neither do I see a better future for my children. I would much rather pawns the energy working elsewhere than spending it here rectifying the damage caused by idiots in which I had no part.

My reasons for thinking of going were ultimately around the fact that I do not think Europe will be as stable and secure in 5 or 10 years as it is now. I am not sure that Europe is as stable as we hope it is financially or politically and could pull the UK down with it.

I have read a lot online about how the migration crisis has affected life for women in Germany, Sweden and Austria and, although I am not against migration, have some concerns about security, women's and LGBT rights, etc as things do not seem to be being handled well there. Countries like Spain and Greece have huge unemployment and financial problems yet the EU is admitting more poorer members without helping them sort out first.
Yanis Varoufakis has spoken about how the EU have dealt with Greece and it is very clear that the EU powers do not have the best interests of individual countries or their people as a priority

Although this result has been a shock, I feel hopeful that it is an opportunity to make something better, to build British businesses and attract others in

I wouldnt be moving anywhere until I've seen what happens with the rest of europe, then again Obama says we are still special...perhaps he'll take you in?

We will wait and see for a bit, but we can (EU and NZ passports) and we are talking about it. But yes, in principle, it's definitely on the table.

Yes, my husband works for a company that's based in the EU, with bases all over Europe.

I'm a teacher so prob work anywhere.

Possibly. We do have other options but up to now I've loved living in the UK and don't want to cause massive upheaval to the DC. However, if it gets as bad politically as I'm afraid it might then yes we will move.

absolutely yes. we don't have the opportunity and are trapped in avery precarious position.
