Anyone else up watching?

OP posts:
feckity · 24/06/2016 04:17

No conclusive results yet. BBC just predicted 52/48 for Leave, based on results so far from 40 'bellweather' areas.

Kennington · 24/06/2016 04:19

Looks like 600 thousand majority for 'leave'. Still over 100 areas to declare results.

LowerBackPain · 24/06/2016 04:21

Thank you for sharing the update, I appreciate it.

Friolero · 24/06/2016 04:21

I can't sleep either, this is fucking awful.

AndersArms · 24/06/2016 04:25

Woke up at 3am and still awake after "quickly checking" the current state of play. Feeling a bit sick and very worried.

LowerBackPain · 24/06/2016 04:26

Is it true that Cameron will have to resign and Boris Johnson will be the new PM?

feckity · 24/06/2016 04:26

London isn't declared in one block, a lot of their results are in already

Expatmomma · 24/06/2016 04:27

Deeply saddened but not shocked.

I am very pro EU and live in Europe.

For various reasons a brexit will result in a 20-25% cut in my salary.

I will need to sell my house to cover the gap in my income and downsize drastically.

I will also be applying for a second nationality in the coming weeks.

I wish the whole of the UK well I think sadly you have very stormy And difficult times ahead.

GettingScaredNow · 24/06/2016 04:27

Physically sick here.
Can't sleep.
Feel like crying.

What have people done???

When you look at the map there's very very clear trends.
Remain in almost every major university/graduate city. That tells you something.

It's so close aswell, half a million votes difference consistently for the last few hours.

bkgirl · 24/06/2016 04:28

Juncker wanted us out which is why he came clean. Germans friends told me they hated having to pay "the winging British a rebate".
The European Peoples Party must have decided they wanted us out.

ChristinaParsons · 24/06/2016 04:29

Pound is crashing and the markets are not open yet.
My house will probably be worth about a tenner by Monday!

GettingScaredNow · 24/06/2016 04:29

Boris would love nothing more then to take over from Cameron but he isn't even a minister so, from my understanding, he can't really do it.
Terrifying prospect though isn't it?

Kennington · 24/06/2016 04:30

Am super surprised. I just assumed we would remain.
we have to deal with this now if it turns out we will exit.
I cannot find the London borough results.....

LowerBackPain · 24/06/2016 04:31

Deeply terrifying indeed...

bkgirl · 24/06/2016 04:32

GettingScaredNow can I just point out I have a degree as does my husband. We voted leave as did many of our graduate friends. It's just they whispered it because they felt bullied and attacked.

bkgirl · 24/06/2016 04:33

I should say at least 5 work internationally and in very senior positions. They flew back to vote.

adrianna22 · 24/06/2016 04:33

David Cameron was stupid to bring about this referendum.

It seems most Brexit voters are mainly concerned about immigration. But what about the pound crashing?!! What about if Britain goes into war??? What country would back us??

ReallyTired · 24/06/2016 04:35

The referendum shows how seriously out of touch politicians are with the public.

bkgirl · 24/06/2016 04:36

Anyone know how Plymouth went?
Interested because of the naval presence.
Also result surely isn't definitely a Leave win yet? I guess it could still change?

LowerBackPain · 24/06/2016 04:39

Bkgirl that is interesting. I am not British but have a house in London and planning to move back to the UK soon. Now reconsidering whether it is the best place to raise a family. I am concerned about the economy and job prospects for young people in the near future.... I did not get to vote despite my children and husband being British.... Was immigration the driving force for the Leave vote?

RoganJosh · 24/06/2016 04:39

Plymouth was 59.9% leave.

bkgirl · 24/06/2016 04:39

If Leave win, the Remain people will feel much better when the Euro Army is announced around the 28th and the various new accession announcements. They will realise they were lied to and feel better.

RoganJosh · 24/06/2016 04:39

Bbc are calling it as Leave.

LowerBackPain · 24/06/2016 04:40

Cannot be the economy because everyone's wellbeing will be affected in a recession

RoganJosh · 24/06/2016 04:40

The whole thing I mean.
