Is it just me who's fed up with various contacts on Facebook (and yes it's always the same ones) constantly posting stuff about why everyone should be voting for Remain? It seems like every other post is something to do with it and it's getting really tiresome. Even if I was undecided I think it would get on my tits.

Yes I know I can turn it off!

On my FB feed the remainers now posting about how 'dismayed' and 'disillusioned' they are. Also commenting about how the people who voted to leave are "small minded, inward looking, xenophobic protectionists" and much much more..... Some are crying.

now ones doing petition for 2nd ref sore loosers who dont care about democracy

I've always struggled tremendously on a personal level about whether people like me for me. This morning I've defriended (I'm 12 years old) everyone who's posted anything along the lines of "if you voted leave, defriend me now".

If they genuinely don't like me because I put my cross in a different place to theirs then tata and it doesn't make me feel bad.

I love my friends for a myriad of reasons, I've never chosen someone to be in my life purely upon their political persuasion.

I have learnt this morning that an old adage still holds true, it is never a good idea to discuss money, religion or politics with friends. Sad

BreakingDad77 · 24/06/2016 09:33

only preachers on my facebook were leavers with posts full of half truths devoid of any information on vetos, rebates, the difference between EU and non eu migrants, etc.

Most people I know talked about how labour and tories have under invested over the years and we have all this misplaced anger towards globalization.

And yet if the shoe was on the other foot there would be cries of the vote being fixed (oh wait there already were yesterday before the votes were even counted) and no doubt leavers would be calling for a second referendum so let's not pretend one side is better than the other here.

The whole campaign has been a complete shambles from start to finish and the behaviour of the British Public has been an embarrassment.

bkgirl · 24/06/2016 10:51

We shouldn't be surprised. The remainers turned a blind eye to undemocratic europe. Now they are turning a blind eye to the vote of the people.
It's like a mega tantrum.

imwithspud · 24/06/2016 10:57

Do you really expect people who didn't get the result they wanted to keep quiet? It's natural for people to be upset, it's a huge decision that could affect millions. Jobs and homes are at risk for some people.

Like I said let's not pretend one side is better than the other. Tantrums would be thrown from the losing side regardless of outcome. No doubt the whole thing would have been a fix if remain won.
