If we could choose sex, they'd be s lot of families missing out on the fun that is a tribe of one sex or the other. I think growing up you have s vision of the perfect family being one of each.

I’ve no issue with it.

I am desperate to have a girl. I cannot even begin to articulate why. It has nothing to do whatsoever with cute outfits or any other stereotypes. I suspect the loss of my own mum has something to do with it.

At least she's upfront about it. Funny how the Beckhams stopped at number 4, and I know which gender my moneys on for the gender of the Rooney's forthcoming baby.

But she shouldn’t feel she has to be upfront about it - I’m not really fussed either which way what DL does but if - if - VB/CR have had IVF to select the gender of their child they are absolutely within their rights to keep that confidential.

I have no problem with sex selection where it is done to balance a family (as opposed to choosing to have children only of one sex or the other).

Off topic, but what is she famous for anyway?

I used the Shettles method with some success. Totally natural. It has worked for me and a couple of friends.

Gender selection doesn't sit well with me. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding of the process is they harvest multiple eggs from mum. These are fertilised and left to develop over a few days. They are then tested for sex. One or two of the desired sex are implanted into mum and the rest are discarded/frozen unlikely to see the light of day.

To me this is creating a life to then terminate it. Whether the egg is 3 days old or 3 months old, that's your baby and your discarding if like rubbish because it's not the gender you want. Obviously your view on this depends in your view on abortion. But it you wouldn't abort a say, 6 week old embryo based on gender, why is it OK to abort a 6 day old, and if you think that's ok, why?

I read that she said her family wasn’t complete. Bet her four sons feel great about that.

Having said that, I’m infertile and had my baby via surrogacy. (Another judged way) and would have been as happy with a boy. Given the choice, I wanted a girl

Colleen Rooney is from quite a religious Catholic family if I remember rightly, which may mean she’s not in favour of sex selection.

I did it v interesting that the “desired” sex in the West seems to be girls, while in India and China it’s the opposite.

This woman will say anything controversial for headlines then sit and cry about being trolled, for more headlines.
I remember her going on This Morning to say one of her young sons might be autistic because 'he's weird' and different to the others- while he was sat next to her, but he wasn't even being seen by anyone. Serial bandwagon jumper, has now leaked her own sex tapes.
